How art always with you came about…

In Debra’s childhood, she envisioned herself wearing custom made clothing. Her mom noticed her curiosity and taught her to sew at a young age and then she was able to bring the things she daydreamed of to life. She would practice stitching straight by making hems on the towels her mom gave her. As she got better, they would create projects from start to finish together; from going to the fabric store and picking the perfect texture to putting the details on the finished piece. Through years of collecting bird feathers, shells, fabric and novelty items, she is able to create her unique works of art on canvas, fabrics, metals and paper.

Today…

In Debra’s words, she was able to recapture her love for art at the lowest chapter of her life. “Now I dream of vibrant colors and beautiful art in my sleep", she says. If something runs through your mind every hour of the day, you know this has to be your calling and purpose in life. She wants to help people find peace and joy within as they are learning their journey of ART.
